Vin rouge - Clos Saint André AOP Chateauneuf du Pape

Descriptif

GRAPE VARIETIES Grenache 75 % Mourvèdre 15 % Syrah 10 % WINEMAKING The harvest is done manually. At the cellar reception, the grapes are crushed and destemmed and the vinification follows a traditional method in stainless steel tanks: during the fermentation, the temperature is under control and a long maceration takes place during approximately 3 weeks to extract an optimum of colour, flavours, and tannins. The Malolactic fermentation and final blending are realized later in the winter. This 2018 vintage in particular was aged during 5 years in concrete tanks before the bottling. TASTING NOTES The wine has a deep red colour with orange highlights and it presents a powerful nose with humus, leather and kirsch aromas. The mouth is silky, full-bodied, with a long spicy finish. This wine is ready to drink but can also be aged for the next 2 or 3 years. It will be served ideally at 18°C and we advise to decant it in a carafe before serving.
